Aligrama

Anagrams on the web

Learn what an anagram is and how Aligrama helps you create new phrases from the same letters.

What is an anagram?

The same letters, another meaning

An anagram is a word or phrase formed by rearranging the letters of another. Each letter must appear the same number of times; only their order changes.

For example, LISTEN and SILENT contain exactly the same six letters. The order changes, and a different meaning appears.

What counts when checking an anagram?

Repeated letters matter. Spaces, punctuation, and capitalization do not affect the count. In Aligrama, accented Spanish vowels are counted as their base vowel.

How does Aligrama help?

An anagram can be a word, name, or whole phrase. Aligrama compares each line independently with the original phrase and shows the available letters as you type.

Tips for finding an anagram

Start with a short phrase, try a promising word, and complete it with the remaining letters.
